WEST LIBERTY, Iowa - Stanley Everett Small, 91, of West LIBERTY, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at his home following a short illness.

Services will be at Barker Funeral Home in West LIBERTY.

He was born Nov. 2, 1908, in Cedar County near Tipton, the son of W.A. and Margaret Cessford Small. He attended country school in Cedar County until the family moved to a farm near Springdale. He spent 4 years in the armed services in Italy, France and Germany during World War II. He worked in the West LIBERTY area after retiring from farming.

Survivors include three sisters, Hazel Dewey of Iowa City, Fern Harris of Vilonia, Ark. and Esther Murphy of West Branch and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parent;, two brothers, Walter and Homer Small; two sisters, Helen Connor and Florence Wigim.
