Surnames: Knight, Slyger, Pack
Correction to previous message: John Slyger/Sliger/and all other spellings (b.@ 1890-d.before 1960) married Ollie (Pack) Night/Knight (b. 10 May 1884-d.22 June 1971) on 21 Feburary 1918 in Wise Co., VA (Wise County Marriage Register Book # 2, page 92, line 67). Ollie was the widow of John William Knight and had several children. John lists his age as 28, his birthplace as PA, his parents as Frank and Julia Slyger and his occupation as miner. John Slyger was the only father my grandmother ever knew. Her father John Knight died when she was just a few weeks old. Also John and Ollie Slyger had several children and we all have a very large reunion every year on the second Sunday in July at Cove Lake State Park in Carryville, Campbell County, TN. I would love to be able to tell some of my older relatives that we've finally located more of the family. Any information on this line would be great. Thanks
