I didn't write down where I saw Michael Sloop in the MD census, but I did find what I think is the reference at:

1830 MD census, Baltimore Co., 6th Collection District, pg 43. The copy online is very difficult to read, but it looks like it might say Michael Sloop.

I'm interested in any information available on John Sloop killed during or after the Rev. War in MD. Both he and Joseph received land grants in Garrett county.

A "Henry Sloop" came to Maryland in 1651. I've seen some NC Sloops state he went to NC, but I've wondered if he actually stayed and had a family there.
