Hi,
I've been reading a book about Tom Slick the explorer who searched across the world for evidence of strange creatures such as the Abominable Snowman and Bigfoot. He was a very interesting person, so I did some research and found some support that this is his Slick line:
John Slick b. circa 1725 married Margaret Adams
Their son John Slick (b. circa 1765 to 1771) married Elizabeth Wilson.
Their son John Slick Jr. married Elizabeth Vickroy daughter of Thomas Vickroy and Elizabeth Frances Williams. (John Slick Jr. also had at least one other wife later, but his children were by Elizabeth Vickroy).
Their son Alfred J. Lundy Slick born about 1815 married Margaret ________.
Their son Johnston M. Chauncy Slick born circa 1856 married Mary Ada Baker.
Their son was Tom Slick the "Wildcatter" the richest oil man in Texas in his day.
His son Tom Slick Jr. was the famous explorer.
Has anyone else done research on this line? This is just preliminary research and I would be very interested in any corrections, additions, or comments.
Thanks!
Susan
