Hi folks. I'll be glad to be the first to post to the SLEASMAN Message Board. I hope someone looks here and posts more.
I recently discovered my own SLEASMAN background. George SLEASMAN from NJ moved to Fayette County PA about 1800-1802 or so. He died about 1812 in Fayette County, and Adam RIDENOUR and his wife Hannah SLEASMAN, daughter of George SLEASMAN, married and inherited George's property in 1814.
Adam and Hannah are my 4g-grandparents.
Although I have seen many records for Christopher SLEASMAN in Cumberland County, NJ, the only reference to George I have seen is a George SLUSMAN who was listed on the June tax list for Upper Downs, Cumberland County, NJ. This could well be George SLEESMAN.
Any advice and information would be welocme.
