Mathias, Lawrence, Margaret Slaymaker Confusion

Classification: Query
Surnames: Slaymaker
Hi all, I am researching the Slaymaker line of my family tree and even though I am not from Lawrence's or Margaret's line, I still would love to have accurate information about when and where they were born, if possible.

One source says that Lawrence and Margaret were born in Germany. But this source also incorrectly refers to the first Mathias' son John as the son of Matthias Junior (even though birth dates make this impossible. (William Henry Egle comp., Notes and Queries: Historical and Genealogical. (Balitmore, MD: Genealogical Publishing Company, 1970). Reproduced on Genealogy.com.)

Another source also states Lawrence and Margaret were born in Germany. (John W. Jordan comp., Colonial and Revolutionary Family of Pennsylvania, Vol. I (Baltimore, MD: Genealogical Publishing Company, Inc., 1978), p. 626-627. Originally published in 1911. Reproduced on Genealogy.com.)

Other people's research show then being born in the US and the dates vary up to 30 years and I've yet to come up with dates for these two on my own.

Also, the original Mathias Slaymaker...I have him coming to the US in both 1710 and 1716. Does anyone have more information about this?

Thanks!
Heather
