Debbie,
SSDI is a government index of americans who registered for social security from 1934 until present to be eligible for social security at retirement. It has useful information such as: where the person worked at the time of registry and their mother and father information.
Go to any search engine i.e. msn or yahoo and type SSDI into the box. When you see references to Social Security Death Index, click on it and enter your family members full name.
I checked the index and your family member is the only one indicated for Indiana. Click on SS-5 info and print a copy of the document shown. Send it into Social Security with a 17.00 payment and in 6-8 weeks it will be sent to you.
Regards,
Jim Harrison
