Henry Slabaugh

Loudonville --Henry W. Slabaugh, 62, 727 Pennell Drive , died Tuesday morning, May 16, 2000, at his home after a long illness.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Loudonville, with Pastor Terry Ruther officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Friends may call Thursday from 7-9pm at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 222 E. Main St., Loudonville; Loudonville United Methodist Church, 123 N. Market St., Loudonville 44842; or Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1605 County Road 1095, Ashland 44805.

He was born July 15, 1937, in Wooster to Joseph and Anna (Yoder) Slabaugh and married Sarah Heffelfinger on May 10, 1964. She survives.

Other survivors include children and their spouses, Ben and Joyce Slabaugh of Kingman, Ariz., Tom and barb Slabaugh of Ashland and Sylvia "Sissy" Slabaugh of Coshocton; a grandchild; brothers, Monroe Slabaugh of Navarre, Roman Slabaugh of Dalton, Jerry and Homer Slabaugh, both of Massillon, Joe Slabaugh of Dowagiac, Mich., Freeman Slabaugh of St. Joseph, Mich., Clarence Slabaugh of Stevensville, MIch., and Harold Slabaugh of LaPorte, Ind.; and sisters, Dorothy Brown of Ashland, Ella Dix of Canton, Ada Bailey of Beloit, Emma Schmucker of Walnut Creek and Betty Clapper of Massillon.
