Richard "Dick" Alan Skuce, of Powell, Ohio, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, died unexpectedly at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, December 22, 2013.

He was born on November 25, 1933 in Schenectady, New York.

He was preceded in death by parents Walter and Ruth Skuce.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Peggy Skuce; and his children, Dan (Amy) Skuce, Anne Skuce and Molly (Mike) Heit; grandchildren, Cameron, Sammi, Sandon Skuce and Mikayla and Mason Heit; many loving nieces and nephews and extended family.

He graduated from DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio and Denison University in Granville, Ohio.

He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity; served in the United States Army; retired after 35 years from Owens Corning; a founding member of Toledo Botanical Gardens; an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels; served on the Board of Directors on the Council of Older Adults in Delaware County and was an active member of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 27,2013 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St.(Powell Rd./St. Rt. 750/1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy.) Powell, OH 43065.
Celebration of Dick's life will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at St. Peter's Episcopal Chruch, 45 West Winter St., Delaware, OH 43015.

In lieu of flowers: contributions may be made to the Toledo Botanical Gardens, 5403 Elmer Dr., Toledo, OH 43615 or St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
