Heidi J. Wilmoth Skolnik
Heidi J. Wilmoth Skolnik, age 43,
of Erie, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008
at Edinboro Manor due to complications following an extended illness.
She was born in Erie on May 20, 1965, the daughter of Robert L. Wilmoth and the late Margaret L. Casner Wilmoth.
Heidi was a graduate of McDowell H. S. and Edinboro University. She was a volunteer with the Erie Parkinson’s Association. Heidi always tried to help people in her career of social work. For several years she operated her own business as a personal shopper to creatively help others who could not do their own shopping. She loved the basic things in life; family, friends, beautiful sunsets, beautiful flowers, watching birds and wildlife, working in her garden, and her pet dog. Despite her failing health, she always had a beautiful and delightful smile. Besides her father, Heidi is survived by one sister, Diane Wilmoth Koos of Glenshaw, Pa., one brother, Mark Wilmoth and his wife, Shelly, of Erie, three nephews,
two nieces,
and a long time friend, Gary Butler, of Edinboro.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Saturday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. A funeral service will be held there on Monday at 9:00 a.m. Private interment Lakewood Memorial Park
