My father was Joseph of AL,his father was Owen,and Owen's father was named "Pinkie".I think that may be short for Pinkney.On Owen's death certificate,it says only Pinkie and there is no "mother's maiden name".I have found one Pinkney,but none of his children listed were named Owen.Does anyone have information on other Pinkney's? This has really stymied my search.Thanks.

Owen Skipworth's parents were William Pinky Skipworth and Waymon Francis Wiley. Owen's mom was Pinkys 2nd marriage. His first wife was Josie Ann Carr, they had 9 kids together before she past away and Pinky married Owens mother. My grandfather (Macklin Carrol Skipworth) was one of the 9 children that Pinky had with Josie Ann Carr. Hope this helps out.
