My sister and I are researching the Skipworth family name. What we are trying to do is connect our family, the Skipworth's, to their Cherokee heritage. John Hibit Skipworth was are gggrandpa,his dad was Jesse Mcguire Skipworth and his dad was James B. Skipworth. If anyone has proof of the Skipworth's being on the Final Indian rolls(Dawes Rolls), I would greatly apprecited if you would share it with me. I do know that James B. was married to Mary Rich and she was part Cherokee Indain but there is no proof on the rolls.
