PETER SJOBERG
Peter Sjoberg was born in Sweden on 29 January 1868 to John Sjoberg and Catherine Peterson Blom. In 1893 he came to America and to Roseau. In 1894-1895 he became part owner of Sjoberg Brothers Mercantile Store in Roseau. Fra 1895 to 1941 he operated a store in Badger. Fra 1891 through 1931 he operated a flour and feed mill and in 1931 had a seed cleaning plant as well as owning and operating a 700 acre farm.
Peter Sjoberg took an active part in community affairs. For ten years he was Mayor of Badger, on the village council for many years, served on the board of education, served as vice president of the First National Bank of Roseau and was also a member of the MWA.
He married Christine Lindstrom on 17 June 1903 in Roseau. Children born to this union were:

Margaret Sjoberg (married Dr. Conrad Holmberg).
The Sjobergs were members of the Lutheran Church. Hobbies of Peter Sjoberg were fishing and reading.
