Jason, Arthur and Mary "Polly" Sizemore are my 4great-grandparents and I will be glad to share information with you. I descend directly through his son Absolum Sizemore and wife, Susannah Stiggins Sizemore. Anything in particular you are searching for? I can tell you that there is absolutely no evidence that his name was William Arthur. All of the official records and documents give his name as Arthur. When applications were being sent in for claimants for the Creek Docket payments beginning in 1968, a handful of those claiming descendancy from him (all from one family line) as an original Creek inhabitant in Alabama apparently confused him with his son, William, and called him William Arthur. Arthur died in 1833 Baldwin County. Son William was a well-known and respected planter until his death in 1853. Because Arthur's estate was not settled until 1858 it was assumed that he died in that year, although he had been deceased over 25 years. As you said, sorry if that came out like a lecture, too...lol. Evelyn Sizemore Leslie
