Jerry, just found your email. Martha Jane Sixkiller was my grandmother. She passed when I was three years and l month old. I remember sitting on her bed and sharing my jelly beans with her.
I have info that her mother's name was Julia Ivey Thomas. Other info indicates Julia's last name was Copeland. Do you have the correct name? Thanks, Marcella Kramer, Kent, WA.

My name is Marcella Kramer, I am a decendant of Archibald and Charlotte Sixkiller from 1800's. I have a copy of a page from "The Sixkiller Family." They had a daughter or granddaughter named Charlotte who married JOHN FAIN. Have a thick file on Cherokee family if you are interested, Getting a new cell phone tomorrow, but my present No. is 253 929 4455 if you care to call. According to my records, their son, Walter Scott Sixkiller married Julia, my greatgrandmother. I have her picture. They had several children listed on the Dawes Role. Good luck!

My greatgrandmother Julia Sixkiller, may have had a child named Charlotte. I will need to look at my Sixkiller file for more information. My Cherokee grandmother was Martha Sixkiller Gipson in Oklahoma.

Do you know of or have a list of Redbird's children/grand and great grand children? My mother was adopted in Tulsa and is a decendent of Redbird. However, mother died fairly young and the subject was not brought up, In fact, I did not learn the she was adopted until I was 18.

hi! this is kelly price. i was randomly talking to my mom about my ancestors and asking why my last name wasnt indian and stuff and she started talking about charlotte sixkiller so i was going to google it and see if i could find an information when i saw this. my mom said she has some old picture of charlotte and john somewhere in our old house. and she has their roll numbers. charlotte and john are possibly my great great grand parents. and i could possibly get some information on them from my grandmother emma marrow.

Also, where did you obtain the birth, marriage, and death dates of Charlotte?

Finally, do you have any real documentation, other than what may be posted on the Internet as to any connection of Charity Sixkiller to Isaac Roberts of Warren Co., TN? Census records, with similar names mean very little. There were, at least five Charitys who married a male named Isaac Roberts.

In 1999, I was made aware of an internet posting that Charity Sixkiller married my Isaac Roberts (b. ca. 1786, lived primarily in Warren Co., TN). I telephoned the man, who made such a posting. He said his father “SEEMED TO REMENBER” that Charity Sixkiller married Isaac Roberts. He had no earthly reason why he put Charity Sixkiller with the Warren County Isaac Roberts.

The Warren County Isaac Roberts’ descendants blindly accepted with wild exuberance this posting, and have perpetuated same through compounded postings, using this original posting as a basis, such as Cherokee Indian rolls.

She was born in Cherokee Nation, SC in 1788,Married in 1810, US, died 1852, US> I found all of this on A.Com. She is in census records. My grandmotheer Eva Roberts Huddleston told me in the 50's of an indian ancestor. Having my curosity peaked I started research.

After extensive research, I am completely of the opinion my Charlotte (Charity), who was the wife of my Isaac Roberts Warren County, TN, did not have the maiden name of SIXKILLER. Are you suggesting that you may have found a Cherokee Indian named Charlotte Charity who married my Isaac Roberts? If so. I would be most anxious to know where you may have found that information.

We have nothing concrete, but we thought that Charlotte Charity last name was Sulalitihi and was Cherokee Indian. We stumbled on this by accident, we are looking for the mother/father of Margaret Luda Hacker married to Dallas (Ball) Knox b 1866. Also looking for the Father of Dallas Ball/Knox. We were hoping for documentation that Margaret was Charlotte's daughter. It's very confusing, their marriage licence shows Dallas last name as Ball, then changed in the census following to Knox. We have some unconfirmed information that Dallas and or Margaret Luda were possibly melungeon.

In 1999, I offered the person who posted on the Internet that Isaac Roberts, b. ca. 1786, (lived in Warren County, TN) a $1,000 payment if he could provide me documentation that Isaac's wife was named Sixkiller. Nothing but silence. In my estimation Isaac's wife, Charity, has less than one in a million chance of having the prior name; Sixkiller. At some future date I intend to write a summary as to how this Sixkiller connection was perpetrated; and why it is not possible.

MaryLou Sixkiller did marry a Burhop His name was Danny they have three children.Curtis,Charlene,Eric. Debbie Sixkiller also married a burhop Named Russel they have 2 children togeather Adam and Travis. Both marylou and debbie are devorced from both burhops. I know this to be fact they are my Mother's sisters and my aunts.

My father (YOUR uncle) is John Burton Campbell (adopted by Julia's sister Virginia). Wow. I heard Buel Dean passed away ... within the last year or ...? I'm very sorry. My Dad is one of sara's four remaining living children. My Youngest daughter (25) is named after her. I just threw my Dad's 85th birthday party over the 4th of July weekend at which three of the siblings and several grandkids and greats were in attendance. Retta's son, Gene, was also in attendance.
