Hi,

I am trying to track down evidence for the parents of my 3rd great-grandfather, Lewis Henry Six:
b. 28 Jan 1832 Ward Township, Hocking, Ohio, USA
d 28 Feb 1920 Clarinda, Page, Iowa, USA
m 13 Aug 1857 Hocking, Ohio, USA to Margaret Woods
8 children, including George Washington Six (1858-1912)
Served in Civil War (Union)

Here is what I think based on other family trees:
Father: George Six
b. abt 1801, Harrison, Charles, Virginia, USA
d. after 1865
Mother expected to be George's first wife who might be:
Catherine Richards
b abt 1807, Wood County, Virginia, USA
d 1837-1840 Athens County, Ohio, USA
m 1821 Tyler County, West Virginia, USA
Perhaps 5 children: James (b 1827), George Washington (b 1831), Lewis Henry (b 1832), Prosper (b 1833), and Melissa (b 1837)

George's 2nd wife (good evidence):
Mary Robinett (widow of Eleazer Penrod, 1785-1839)
b abt 1808, Virginia, USA
d between 1847-1858
m. 1840, Dover, Township, Athens, Ohio, USA
2 children from Penrod: George (b 1832/3) and Ellen (b. 1837/8)
5 children from George Six: Mary (b 1840), Preston (b 1841), Robert (b 1845), Ezra (b. 1845), and William (b 1847)

George's 3rd wife:
Mary J. McNeal
b. abt 1815, Pennsylvania, USA
m. 06 April 1855, Athens, Ohio, USA
2 children from George: Oma (b 1858) and Elizabeth (b 1864)

Any evidence will help. The 1830 and 1840 Census records are not so useful because they summarize the households with no spouses or children lists by name.
