My mother's mother's mother was Hazel Agnes Sivadon Prophet. Hazel was living in Oklahoma when she wed, and later settled in Texas. According to our family tradition:
"History of Hazel’s family immigration to the United States is registered in a Missouri courthouse and was collected and sent there by her sister’s children. Hazel’s grandfather was a French immigrant who came to America because he did not want to become a priest. His father sent an older brother to look after Marceline. Marceline came to Missouri by covered wagon pulled by oxen and when the wagon broke down by a railroad, he opted to settle there. Later purchased the land and had a trading post. Marceline married at approximately 15 or 16 years of age to a young girl of approximately 13 yrs. (She was not mature enough to have menstrual cycles at the time of the marriage.) They later had 13 children."
I have been reasearching the Sivadon line, and am certain that my Marceline is the same as everyone else's - I just need help identifying Hazel's father (Marceline's son) to tie two large trees together.
