Some time ago Gaston and Gisele Dupuis put out a publication entitled La Famille Sirard. An update was to have been published late last year but there was a fire and all of the data was lost. When I last heard from Gisele she told me that they were no longer interested in attempting the project from scratch a second time. I have considerable Sirard data that has been shared with me by two priests in/near Quebec City. I also have a copy of the original version of La Famille Sirard. I have purchased the Sirard name for an Internet site and later this summer I plan to put as much of my data as possible on the web for members of the Sirard family in the hope that they will choose to add to the information base as those who are listed a Robinson Researchers have done on the Rev. John Robinson web page: www.RevJohnRobinson.com. If you are interested in sharing information please contact me at the e-mail address above.

My interest in the Sirard line is as follows. My great grandfather Avila/Oliver Sirard came to California during the gold rush and married a Marie Sophie Gauthier in Grass Valley, California in 1882. They had seven children, five boys and two girls, and Louis Apolinaire is my grandfather and my mother's father. We do not know how Avila/Oliver came to California or exactly when and continue to search for records from St. Esprit in Quebec Province.

Please contact me at the e-mail address listed rather than as a reply to this message. Thank you.
