Sirard and Sirat in Normandy and England

Classification: Query

One can find a Godefridus Sirart in 1180 AD.......in England after the conquest........

This family is attached in Normandy to the fief of Martainville.........of the Osmundville Sires or Lords.......that track back to Ouilly Basset.......and the Dukes of Normandy before Rollo arrived

They are also shown with pledges to the Abbey of Preux....around 1200s AD

Then one sees in 1479 De Colin le Siouret living in Evreux

The name Sirart is listed as one of the notable families of
Lisieux from 1692 onwards......

with one Pierre Sirart who married a Guerin..........

The name will not always be spelled the same: from one record to another.........but will be close

The Sirarts are the foundation of the Shearer family of England......major Lords in the region of Pembrokeshire and Chester Wales.....

(Sirart was pronounced as Shure and Shurer)

in Chester........who had many estates and vast powers under their Lords the Avranches........

The English Shearers have posted their DNA.......and it is a a strong preliminary match to Pierre Sirre c.1671 of Acadia as well

you can also see a version in England as the Lords of Sureland.
