I've been researching my Siragusa family in NYC, and I've had to do some research on other Siragusa families in order to eliminate them in my search. I thought that perhaps the information could be helpful to someone else searching for their NYC Siragusas in the future.

Here's what I've found:

Nicolo Siragusa, b. Mar 1835 in Italy, married Domenica Siragusa, b. Apr 1845 in Italy, in about 1874.

They immigrated to NYC on 27 oct 1898, residing at 331/337 E. 12th Street from about that time through at least 1921 with Nicolo's sister, Elena, b. abt 1868.

Nicolo and Domenica had the following children:

Joseph Siragusa, b. Mar 1876 (Butcher/Dairy)
Salvatore Siragusa, b. 25 Feb 1884, Naturalized 18 Sep 1905 (Book Binder; Butcher)
Mary Siragusa, b. Jul 1879 (Pants Maker; Finisher at a tailor shop)
Antonnette (Anne) Siragusa, b. Aug 1887 (Pants Maker)
Antonio Siragusa (Merchant of flour)

Joseph Siragusa married Sophia (b. abt 1880, Imm. 1893) in 1904 and had children Nicolo/Nicolas (b. abt 1906), Domenica (b. abt 1908)., Lucy (b. abt 1912), Andrew (b. abt 1913), and Helen (b. abt 1916).

Antonio Siragusa married Marianna in Italy (Imm 1903) and had children Joachamina, Rosalie, Maria, Biaggio, Stephano and Iolanda. Son Biaggio (Benny) was b. abt 1898 and naturalized on 7 Nov 1912.

There is also a Nichola Siragusa listed at this address, who was naturalized on 14 Mar 1924.

Hope this information is of help to someone out there.
