Henry Sipes, JR 1867 In the name of God Amen
I, Henry Sipes, farmer of the Township of Licking Creek and County of Fulton, in the State of Pennsylvania, being in hopefully of sound mind, do hereby make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament. This Fourteenth (14) day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven (1867).
First: In hope of a blessed immortality, I commend my soul into the hands of the Lord Jesus, and direct that my body be decently buried.
Secondly: I give and bequeath to my son, Thomas Sipes, all that part of the mansion farm being the farm on which I now reside, lying north of a division line run by J. H. McEldowney from a white oak corner near land of Jacob Sipes in a westerly direction past a pine on the bank of the race, to the line of The Old Place, at the price of twelve hundred Dollars ($1200)
Thirdly: I give and bequeath to my son George Runyan Sipes the farm on which he now resides, as included in the lines of a Survey made for him by J. H. McEldowney at the price of Six hundred and eighteen dollars ($618)
Fourthly: I gave and bequeath to my son David Vinton Sipes, all that part of the Mansion farm lying South of the division line run by J. H. McEldowney from a white oak near lands of Jacob Sipes, Past a pine on the bank of the Mill race to the line of the old place, and North and East of a dividing line run by J. H. McEldowney, from a Stone near the public road together with a part of the ridge tract, containing about twenty three acres, at the price of Five hundred and ninty two dollars

Fifthly: I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Hoop that part of a tract of land lying South of a Division line run by XX J. Gorden from a post near lands of George Metzler in a easterly direction to land of Broombaugh on Patterson’s Run containing 78 acres XXX or XXX at the price of three hundred and ninety dollars ($390).
Sixthly: I give and bequeath to 8 of my grand children ( Children of my son, Conrad Jackson Sipes deceased, their names as follows Mary A., Lidda A. Sarah A., Margaret L, Rebecca Elizabeth, Jane, Catherine and John C. The above name children of my son Conrad Jackson Sipes deceased each to have seventy five dollars ($75) to be their share in full, to be paid by my executors. The daughters when they shall arrive at the age of 18 years and the son at 21.
Seventhly I give and bequeath to my grand daughter, Sara C ( Daughter of my son Henry Nelson Sipes deceased) Three hundred Dollars ($300) when she comes to the age of 18 years to be her share in full and if she should not live to that age then said amount to fall back to my here in after named heirs.
Eightly: I will and direct that my executors shall sell all property ( that may be remaining not disposed of ) in any way they may see proper either private or public without having it appraised or returned to County.
Ninthly: I give and bequeath to my children namely to Thomas Sipes, George Runyan Sipes, Dennis Dorsey Sipes, John Pearsoll Sipes, Mary Hoop and David Vinton Sipes, all my property and estate remaining after the payment of my debts expenses and bequeaths to the before named Grand children to each of my children an equal part. Share and Share alike. And I will and direct the amount of my estate be equally proportioned between all my before named children, and those leaving bequests of land, the price of which shall exceed their proportion of the estate, shall pay such excess of price so that each named child of mine shall inherit the same amount of my property. Tenthly: I here by will and appoint my sons Thomas Sipes and George Runyan Sipes executors of this my last will and testament, giving them full power to collect all moneys due me and to fill all contracts made by me and in testimony where of I do here unto set my hand and seal the day and year first written.

Before me R. A. McDonald, Register for the Probate of Wills, &, in and for said County, personally came Tobias R. Sipes and Joseph Runyan, son of, the subscribing witnesses to the within instrument of writing, who being duly qualified according to law, did depose and say that they were personally present and saw Henry Sipes, late of the Township of Licking Creek in said County, deceased, the testator herein named, Sign his name to said writing, and seal the same and heard him publish and declare the said instrument as and for his last Will and Testament, and at the time of doing he was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief, and that their own names thereto subscribed as witnesses were so subscribed at the request of the testator in his presence and in the presence of each other

Runyan Sipes who being duly qualified according to law, deposes and says that Henry Sipes the testator above named, late of Lk Creek Township deceased, died on Sunday the 25th, day of May A. D. 1879, about 11 o’clock in the fore noon, at his residence in said Township.
