SIDOTI (nee Simonelli), age 82, beloved wife of 62 years of Carl 'Mel'; loving mother of Sandy Klimkowski (Larry) and Sam (Anita); cherished grandmother of Larry Klimkowski (Darcy), Lisa Rogers (Ray), Vanessa Dimora (Michael), Amanda Sidoti and Nicole Sidoti; dear great-grandmother of Brett Miller, Jordan Klimkowski and Jaeden Klimkowski; sister of Nina Lovano and the late Joseph Simonelli (the late Gloria).

This isn't what your looking for, but my father's name was Angelo Simonelli. He migrated to Sydney Australia from Arce, italy around 1960.

I understand I have some 3rd or 4th cousins in detroit USA from his lineage. DO you know any Simoneli's originally from arce in frosinone province Italy?

My great granda father was Gregorio Robertazzi (later changed to Lubertozzi). He came to the US from Naples in 1902, when he was 24. I am trying to trace back his geneology, but havent found anything regarding any relatives. Did you find any information about the Robertazzi's from Naples? Thanks

I am trying to find information for Angelo Simonelli his wife was Italia Robertazzi. I believe they came here from Naples in 1897. I am the grandchild of one of their many children John Simonelli. I know they were living in lower Manhatten and then in the Park Slope area in Brooklyn. If anyone has any information I would so appreciate it. The town they lived in Italy would be really helpful. I believe that Serafino Simonelli's Parents were Fabbiano Simonelli and Filomena.

Vincient Simonelli married Evelyn Wilcoxx and had Vincient Simonelli Jr.

Philomena Simonelli marrie Anthony Sanchirico, who had Marie and Sylvia Sanchirico.

Marie married Louis DiCarlo and had Anthony, Christopher, and Louis Sanchirico Jr.

Sylvia Sanchirico married Richard Corbisero, then Sylvia married Alphonso Paolantonio. Then they had Mark Paolantonio who married Nancy, then had Brittany Paolantonio.

Anthony Sanchirico's sisters Angela and Thresa married two of Arduino Sormanti's brothers.

Thresa married Joseph Sormanti and had Robert, Anna, and Angela Sormanti. Robert Sormanti married Sarah and had Lis Sormanti. Anna Sormanti married Louis Ciquerano and had Steven Ciquerano. I don't know who Angela Sanchirico married.

Now let's go back to the Simonelli's

Angelina Simonelli married Arduino Sormanti and had the following children, Ada, Serafino, who later was know as Walter, Dante, Louis and Corrine

I have the family tree maker and i looked up the soc. for Frank Beatrice in dunkirk and i have it if you want it or don't have it. I'm Danny's girl friend. I have researched my family back to the 1500 thought i could help out Bob and family.

I am not sure if its the same giuseppe simonelli, but my grand father was born around 1909 and he was from around Naples italy. he died in 1982 when i was 2 yrs old so i dont remember him, but i do have tons of pictures. I also have many pictures of older folks when my grandfather was in his 20' and 30's so we might be able to try to match some people. My grand father Giuseppe Simonelli was a taylor and worked for the US Naval base in naples italy, (i still have his ID Badge) Like i mentioned on this same thread. Giuseppe Simonelli was born around 1909 and was married to Asunta Capaldo. They lived in the area of secondigliano Naples Italy for most of their life. My father (giuseppe's son) moved to venezuela when he was 18 and thats where i came about. Since then my parents divorced and my mother remarried and we moved to the US. I did see on one of my Grandfather's ID badges that his name was Giuseppe Simonelli Murolo. So i am guessing Murolo was his maiden name.

After a couple of years i was able to find out more about my family. My Father Egidio Simonelli (born 1955) is son of Giuseppe Simonelli (born around 1909), and Asunta Capaldo. My father grew up in the area of secondigliano of Naples Italy. My father then moved to venezuela and married my mother. When i was 8 or 9 they got divorced and my mom got re-married and we moved to the U.S. in 1991. So thats how i made it to the US. I know that my grand father's maiden name was MUROLO.
So i have traced my name back to
Jose Luis Simonelli Gutierrez Capaldo Luna Murolo Barnes. Hope to find more in the future, but i think i went as far back as i will ever be able to get to.

None of the names mentioned sound familiar.
The Simonelli family is on my Wife's side of the family, one generation removed. All I can tell you, from my recolection, is that her Mother's maiden name was Nancy ( Ananciatta )
Simonelli. Nancy was sister to Carl. Nancy and Carl are the children of the late Ester and Louis Simonelli. I can't remember what Ester's maiden name was.

Not quite sure if we're distant cousins. Here's what I know:
The mother of my wife wrote:
" My grandparents came from Comubas in Abrutsy, near Genoa. Mygrandfather's name was Savore(Anthony) Simonelli and my grandmother was Mary Galupi. She was born around 1885."

That's all I was able to find out. Good luck with all of your family tree searchings.

Andrew Simonelli, 41 years old, 341 Ward road, died last night at the DeGraff Memorial hospital after am illness of several weeks with a complication of diseases. Born in Italy, he came to America at the age of eleven. He had resided in North Tonawanda for the past three years. He is survived by a wife, Harriet; a daughter, Delia; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sante Simonelli, Barre, Vt.; a brother, William and a sister, Miss Mary Simonelli, also of Barre. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence. Burial will be at Ridge Lawn cemetery, Pine Hill. Rev. H. A. Depfer of the Third Presbyterian church will conduct the services.

Our grandmother was Rose Simonelli. B. 1888. She had one brother. We think they were born in Rome. Father's name: Joseph Simonelli. Mother: Rosali Francolino. We think she grew up around Naples. She married a Pontieri from Nocera Terinese after immigrating to the US. We do not know her brother's name or what happened to him.

Any names sound familiar?

Seeking more information on my great great grandfather-
Angelo Simonelli (b. 1857? - d. 1915-1930) - primarily anything about his parents. Angelo came to Brooklyn in 1904 with his eldest son and then again in 1907 with the rest of his family. He was from NOLA Italy.
(Ellis Island. org + Ancestry.com)

Angelo married Concetta Allocca sometime in the early 1900's. Their children were Carmine, Fortuna, Raffaelle and Carmela. Carmine is my great grandfather.

Any information Angelo, especially who his parents were would be greatly appreciated.

looking for information on Maria Guiseppa(Josephine?) Simonelli born in late 1850's in or around Avellino, Bonito, Italy, She married Giuseppe(Joseph?) Di Pietro born in early 1860's in Avellino, Bonito,Italy. They are my Greatgrandparents, had children Assunda(Sp), Giuseppe, Carmine, Angelina, Marianna, and i believe there were a couple more children! Ciriaco Di Pietro is my Grandfather born abt Feb,13-14,1888 in Bonito, Italy, he changed his name from Ciriaco Di Pietro to Frank Beatrice in 1928 in Portland, Indiana and i believe my GreatGranddad either changed his name or went by Lewis Beatrice, lived in Dunkirk, Indiana until abt 1924 when my great grandparents went back to Italy I am looking for any records church, baptismal, civil or any relatives I might have in Italy. any help would be greatly appreciated

My Name is Louis Simonelli as was my father's. My Grandfather was Cyro and his wife was Maria. They came to the US from Nola, Italy first in 1906 and again in 1912. I had two uncles, Giacomo (Jack) and and Giovanni (John). My amily lived in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. My Uncle Jack was in Croton on the hudson. My Uncle John was in constructon and worked with a company called Ralph and Rocky Construction. I don't think we are related but your reference to Nola caught my attention.
