Hope you still looking for more on this will as got to it via the spouse of Silas.
She is daughter of Jacob Harrell named in his will dated 22 JAN 1787 also in Charleston.
There are two daughters listed in will who wed into Simmons line:
Ann and Selah (witten Lelah on Silas will but Selah on Jacob will)
What makes the will of Jacob important in my family hunting is that it names three of my direct ancestors: Jacob, Levi I, Levi II in it.
What this will doesn't tell me is:
Name of his spouse although he leaves everything to her as long as she is living and not rewed.
Date of his death as this is only the recording of a will and not action on it after his death.
Jacob Harrell lists these as his children in will:
Levi (named as executor) and his son Levi, refered to as grandson, by name Levi, in will, to get 504 acres of land which Jacob and spouse now live on (second Levi born 1777 so would no be just ten)
Leacy Barfield (possibly born in 1752 and wed to a Charles Barfied Marion District SC but have yet to verify this)
Selah Simmons this one wed your Silas Simmins as he is listed as the other executor to will, linked two by his will dated 27 FEB 1795 that you also have seen, and refer to...
Ann Simmons (there were a lot of Simmons in index of wills and only one caught my eye was Silas as it on Jacob will) (one Ann Simmons in index book 17 (1774-79 page 491 will need now to go back and look at it but since Jacob found in book 22 (1786-93) and Silas in 26 (1793-1800) she would be too young to do a will if she born near Leacy in 1752 at 22/27; most folks don't think about wills until old and sick). (Did note a Jane Simmons in book 22 same as Jacob, but will need make another trip to look at it)
Martha Curtis
Mary Black
Jasper Harrell
Above children were to get his share of his estate after it sold only if his spouse not living.
Lewis Harrell got 3 Guineas and rights to that which he'd already gotten from Jacob. He was possibly the elder son and got land when he married and was living on that at the time.
His son Levi signed the will.
A Samuel Tindal left his mark on it.
His daughter Silah Simmons left her mark on it.
A Charles Lining, Esq, proved it and Levi Harrell was named executor 16 FEB 1787 and he also proved the will of Silas Simmons on 5 OCT 1795
