Brian T. Simmers, 45,
of Marvin Drive, Chambersburg, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Dec. 6, 1962, in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Milton E. and Ethel (
Hollinshead)
Simmers.
He and his wife of 14 years, Tina (
Moore)
Simmers, were married July 17, 1994.
Mr. Simmers graduated from Chambersburg Area
Senior High School in 1982.
He worked at a number of businesses around Chambersburg. At the time of his death, he worked at
Knouse Foods.
Mr. Simmers attended Chambersburg
Baptist Church.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to his wife,
he is survived by one daughter, Kristen M. Bumbaugh of Chambersburg; two grandchildren;
five brothers, Jim
Simmers,
Nathan
Simmers,
Billy
Simmers and David
Simmers, all of Chambersburg,
and Gordon
Simmers of Greencastle;
and five sisters, Nancy
Walters of Waynesboro
and Kathleen
Suders, Laura
Duke,
Kimberly
Miller and Jodi
Simmers, all of Chambersburg.
In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by three brothers, Milton
Simmers Jr.,
Michael
Simmers and George
Simmers,
and one sister, Letha
Barges.
A private funeral service will be held for the family on Tuesday.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
