My mom's father's father (Israel Cohen) married a Rose Cohen (Rose' name from Russia was Rachel Gauze, which became House in the US). My family settled in the Boston, MA area.
Robert I. Corubin has a tree of relatives consisting of many Silverman family members. The eldest is a couple, Max Silverman married to a Tillie House. My mom, Margery Cohen Ehrlich, when I read off the names, lit up in excitement when she heard, as she had childhood memories some of that family coming to visit her side, or her side visiting them.
The mystery is how Rose is connected to Tillie.
I have tried to reach out to to Robert, but no responses.
If _anyone_ has any insight/knowledge or help, please let me know. I have reached out to a couple of the Silverman family, had brief conversations, and that was it.
The family members, in brief, are:
Max Silverman married to Tillie House (oldest generation - not sure they ever made it to the US)
They had Abraham Silverman who married an Annie Greenberg (mom remembers Annie).
Abraham and Annie had several children, including Herbert Silverman and Melvin Silverman.
I've managed to reach out to a couple of that generation's children, including Richard Silverman.
I need help in contacting the rest of the family and in any trees/history people might have.
The Silvermans are cousins and my mom and I REALLY want to learn how!
