North Carolina Sikes Wills – On a recent trip to the NC Library and Archives, I was able to obtain a copy of most of the Sikes Wills available there through 1840. I have scanned (or copied from the Internet) the Wills listed below which I will be happy to send anyone who is interested. All you need to do is send me an e-mail indicating which of the Will(s) you would like. Some of the Wills were larger than my scanner surface so I had to copy and paste some of the pages to get them into digital form. If you are able to enlarge the image, you should have no difficulty in reading the copy. If you have any trouble, I will be happy to try to assist you in reading the Will(s). The Wills marked “*” are typed copies downloaded from the Internet and were “checked” for accuracy while I was in NC.
My e-mail address is sykes113@frontiernet.net.
