For those who may be interested, there was an article in the Wilmington (NC) Star News this past week about the Sidbury-Atkinson-King Cemetery (where Vashti Sidbury Atkinson is buried and, purportedly, William Barlow Sidbury [her father]). The graves are primarily Atkinson and King descendents of Vashti and Amos Atkinson. There are at least two burials with only wooden markers in the cemetery. The owners have petitioned Pender County for approval to move the graves to another location. Here is a link to the article in the Star News:
