Injuries Fatal to Girl, 5

Alene Sickler, 5, of 1501 Dearborn av., Aurora, died yesterday in Aurora of injuries suffered last Thursday when she was struck by a car in front of her home. The driver was C. F. Bricker, 743 Fox st., Aurora.
Mrs. Helen Stapleton, 76, of 1251 Ardmore av., died in Augustana hospital yesterday of injuries suffered when she was struck by a truck June 9 in front of 5757 Broadway. A daughter survives. The truck driver, Roy J. Linning, 35, of 4546 Magnolia av., was not held.
Bicyclist Killed
Philip Tripp, 10, of 1233 W. 112th st., was killed last night when he rode his bicycle against the side of a moving truck in front of 1230 W. 112th pl. The driver was Harry Ouelette, 49, a resident employe at Hines veterans' hospital. The truck was a hospital vehicle. Ouelette told police the boy rode into the street from between two parked cars.
Up to 4 p.m. yesterday 363 persons had been killed in Cook county traffic accidents since Jan. 1. Of these, 276 persons were killed in Chicago, where 14,824 persons were injured in the same period.
