Greetings,
Guess what??? After receiving your emails it inspired us to drag out "the boxes of stuff" we had stashed away and haven't looked at in forever... We found that we have original naturalization paperwork on both Matteo and Luigi Siano. Please email us and give us your direct email address and I will scan this information for you to see.... Matteo Siano came to this country on April 20, 1892 on the ship Elisia. His Declaration of Intention was signed on December 18, 1906. His date of birth is stated as April 9, 1858 in Sarno, Salerno, Campania Italy. He was 48 years of age when he left Italy. Regarding Luigi, we have a Certificate of Naturalization stating that he was naturalized by the the Superior Court at Springfield on September 8, 1919 at the age of 66. We need to show you this paper because some of the information is confusing (dates, etc.) On Luigi, we also have, his death certificate which states his mother's name as: Marie Raino of Italy. It states his wife's name as: Nicoletta Pappaceno, although on Angelo's birth certificate dated January 26, 1939 (obviously a copy), it is stated as: Nicolina Papacini. Figure that one out! Anxious to hear from you.
