Albert W. Pogemiller, age 88, apt 4 of the Westview Apts. in Winfield, formerly of Morning Sun, died Tuesday, January 10, 1995 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. The son of William and Mathilda (Dustman) Pogemiller, he was born March 4, 1906 at La Plata, Missouri.

On May 18, 1935 he married Frances Cummings at Morning Sun.

He was a graduate of the Morning Sun High School, class of 1923. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Morning Sun where he was an elder and had been secretary of the Sunday School Dept. for many years. He owned and operated the Pogemiller orchard west of Morning Sun for 50 years.

Survivors include his wife of Winfield; a daughter, Mary Kilpatrick and her husband, Ed, of Winfield; 2 nephews, LeRoy and Norman Pogemiller; 3 great nephews and 3 great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Raymond.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 1995 at 10:30 a.m. from the First United Presbyterian Church in Morning Sun, with Rev. Jack Edmiston officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery at Morning Sun. Friends may call as they desire Friday at the Hagele Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun where the family will meet with friends Friday evening from 7-8:00 p.m.

A memorial has been established for the Morning Sun Presbyterian Church.

Casket bearers are Bill McElhinney, Russell Orr, Curtis Orr, Bill Butler, Bob Nichols Jr., and Roger Kilpatrick.

Music will be provided by Brian and Kristi Cummings, vocalists, and Pam Butler, organist.
