Shrum DNA Markers

The descendants of George Bright Frazier (abt 1854, Kentucky to 1921, Texas) have multiple 4th cousins with connections to Peter Shrum and Sarah Lovelady of Macon County, Tennessee. Our great grandfather's parents are unknown to us. There are two versions of a family rumor, that George B. Frazier made his way to Texas due to a possible crime. Version 1: He was angry with a school teacher and beat him to death - Version 2: He was angry with a sibling and beat him to death and was expelled from the family by his father.
At this point, our family has only submitted autosomal dna tests at Ancestry... We face the possibility that George B. Frazier may have changed his name or his mother is a Shrum.
We discovered a descendant of Peter King Shrum by the name of Loyd Thomas Shrum that strongly resembles my grandfather Shelby King Frazier.
If any researchers have a Shrum - Frazier connection, we would love to hear from you.

I've been looking for information on a relative of mine who I believe may be in the Shrum family from Franklin County and/or Muskingum County in Ohio. She is my great-great-grandmother.

Jane (Shrum?)
b. 1810 in New Jersey
d. 1893 in Le Sueur, MN

m. 1830 to Morgan Savidge in Zanesville, Ohio
m. 1847 to Manning Kingsley in Van Wert, Ohio

I have her obituary which states that she moved with her family from New Jersey to Zanesville, OH when she was 7 years old (around 1818). She moved with some of her children to MN after the death of her second husband around 1850. Jane is buried in MN on the same plot as James Shrum (1808-1879) who I'm guessing might be her brother based on the birth year. I assume it isn't a third husband as the obituary didn't mention him. The name Shrum (nor any maiden name) was not mentioned in the obituary, but on Ancestry.com a number of family trees list Shrum as her maiden name. I'm looking for confirmation and eventually for the names of her parents.

One other clue that Jane might be a Shrum is from the names of two of her children: Archibald and Cinderella. I have found an Archibald Shrum in OHIO that could be her brother (based on birth date ~1818) as well as a Cinderella Shrum that could be her sister. I realize this is a weak connection but I haven't had much to go on.

I'd appreciate any help.

Looking for info on my grandfather's first family. He married a Millie Shrum and had two daughters, Byrtle Arminda Way, who married at least twice. At death, her name was Dykes. Also looking for info on his other daughter, Robena L Way, who married Carl McDonald Shrum. These Shrums were originally from Marion and Grundy Counties area of TN. Any help would be appreciated. Susan A. Shrum was born February 23, 1836, died May 6, 1911. In 1856, she was united by marriage to Joseph Shrum, to which union seven children were born. She was an affectionate companion and mother and had been a devoted member of the Congregational Methodist Church for 55 years. Her husband and children had all gone on many years before and she had made her home with her grandchildren. "Grandma Shrum", although separated from her family, was happy and contented and was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. I've found in several tree's online and also Find A Grave a typed copy of the Will of Tilman D. Shrum, dated 12 Aug 1897 Macon Co, TN. His son Gideon W. Shrum died (supposedly) in 1892 in IL. Can someone please explain to me if one of the dates is incorrect? Tilman named his son G.W. Shrum as an heir in that Will. Why would he name him if G. W. was already deceased?
Also, who is the C. D. Shrum named as heir in Tilman's Will?

Shirley T. Lemay, 60, Timbo entered into rest Sep. 17, 2006
at her residence. She was born April 18, 1946 in Algoa,
Arkansas to William and Pernnie (Addington) Honey. She was
of the Baptist faith and a homemaker, wife, mother, and
grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Danny; one son, Dennis Lemay
and his wife Judy of Oxley; two daughters, Shirley Lindsey
and her husband Steve of Hot Springs, Ark. and Melinda West
and her husband Gerry of Donaldson, Ark., four sisters;
Doris Pace of Erie, Penn., Jewel Book of Lawrence Park, Penn.,
Ann Podusczak of Sunset Beach, N.C., and Verla Liddell of
Newport, Ark.; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren
as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation is 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at
Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View (870)269-3210.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at
Blue Mountain Baptist Church, Timbo with Daryl Pitts
officiating and interment in Blue Mountain Cemetery in Timbo.

Pallbearers are Guy Gammill, Otis Stevens, J.L. Broyles,
L.C. Gammill, Gleon McGehee and Curtis Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Price, Buddy Trammell and William Rackley.

Mrs. Essie (Addington) Hamilton Foust, 90, of Jacksonport,
Arkansas departed this life Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at
Lindley Healthcare. She was born January 22, 1922 at
El Reno, Oklahoma, the daughter of Loney and Artha (Barton)
Addington.

Mrs. Foust worked for over 40 years at Victor Metal, and was
a charter member of the Jacksonport Baptist Church. After
retirement she worked as Grandmother for Newport Headstart
School for several years. She enjoyed making quilts, fishing,
yard sales, camping and loved her dog, Tammy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers,
Ishmel, Lloyd, Jimmy and Gordon Addington; three sisters,
Alice and Mytrel Addington and Pernnie Honey; one
daughter-in-law, Carol Addington; one son-in-law, Sidney Gansz.

Her survivors are her husband, Clint Foust of Jacksonport;
two sons, Gary Addington of Jacksonport and Kelly Jeffery of
Newport; one daughter, Vera Ann Gansz of Newport; six
grandchildren, Loney Addington, Kim Powers, Dennis Gansz,
Alan Gansz, Joey Gansz and Major Richard Gansz; eleven great
grandchildren, Daniel Addington, Blake Powers, Mandy Gansz,
Megan Gansz, Courtney Gansz, Luke Gansz, Cydnie Gansz,
Kelsie Gansz, Rachel Gansz, Zachery Gansz and Mason Gansz,
one great great granddaughter, Kyra Jo-Ann Wilson; several
nieces and nephews.

Laura Louella Misner married Wilbert Lewis Shrum on 3 November 1934 in Indiana, Pennsylvania. They had children of which I have three names: Sara Irene, Bernice Marie, and unnamed male Shrum.
I have lots on the Shrum ancestry.

My Nova Scotia family appears to also link back to an Elizabeth Shrum born around 1804 who married David Horner. Her father's name appears to have been Thomas Shrum and her mother's first name was also Elizabeth.

Interestingly, my grandmother who would have been Elizabeth (Shrum)Horner's great grandaughter was psychic!

I would be interested in hearing from you if you think our families connect in any way.

Is this the same Barney Shrum that was married to Sara C. Rubino? Sara was my grandmother and I been going through family records and came across this info. It said she was married previously to my grandfather James E Malcomson Sr. It also noted that she gave birth to two childrem before my father James E Malcomson Jr. One was my Aunt Sally (Sally Velk) and another died before 1948....no cause listed.

I am trying to get hold of a birth and death certificate for both John Laban Shrum, May 30, 1818 - February 5, 1867, and his wife Elizabeth Ann Davis, October 28, 1823 - November 2, 1893. I believe she was born in Illinois, and I have a marriage certificate for them there on January 16, 1842. I think he was born in either North Carolina or Missouri, and I think he father was Andrew Shrum. Their daughter Elizabeth Jane married James William McBee.

Any information you have, including photos of their gravestones, etc., would be most gratefully appreciated.

I am a descendant of George &Catherine Marchand Shrum. I am trying to determine where they are buried. The place listed for their death was in Fairfield Twp., Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania but no final resting place was listed. I believe they lived around Ligonier or Derry. Her father and mother are buried in the Brush Creek Cemetery, Adamsburg and I know where there monuments are located.
