Susan A. Shrum

Susan A. Shrum was born February 23, 1836, died May 6, 1911. In 1856, she was united by marriage to Joseph Shrum, to which union seven children were born. She was an affectionate companion and mother and had been a devoted member of the Congregational Methodist Church for 55 years. Her husband and children had all gone on many years before and she had made her home with her grandchildren. "Grandma Shrum", although separated from her family, was happy and contented and was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. She leaves 2 daughters-in-law, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her death. ~a Granddaughter
