I'm seeking info on George Shrum, who appears on the 1790 Federal Census in Westmoreland County, PA. I believe that he settled in the Fairfield/New Florence area. George and his descendents lived in the area throughout the 19th century. I have been to a stone house on state route 711 near New Florence that has a date stone on it that says "G.B.S 1834". I believe that this house was built by either George or his son. If you have any information about this house or about the Shrum lineage in this area, please contact me.
