Hi Judith I am Marty Restivo. In my wife's line she has a Reuben Shores who I think was the one living in Greene Co. Ar. in 1860. I see you think Reuben wasn't Jonh's son who he was living with. I was wondering why you think he isn't Jonh's son?

RE:Sarah...she is the second wife of John Shores, son of Reuben b. 1790 in TN, d. in Wayne co., IL. John died in the Civil War, the day after the war ended...of disease following theBattle of New Orleans!

Children from his first marrige (according to 1850 Wayne Co., IL census) & this according to Greene Co., ARK 1860 census, Bradshaw Twp, Chalk Bluff p. 673 = "A" - f - b. 1844 IL; Elizabeth - f - b. 1847 IL; a Ruben b. 1846 IL living with them (not sure who he is but he is not John's)

She remarried Daniel Wheeler who d.1905 Mill Shoals, White Co., IL

Alas, I have no info on Sarah except she was b. 1825 in KY

Would like to know more about her - and so would you, I gather!

Reuben - no info...b. 1790 in TN and died in Wayne Co.Had following children: John, Levi, Reuben, "E", Elizabeth.

I descend from Hiram, possibly a brother or cousin of Reuben.
