Browsing thru the entries and recognized this name. My father has listed in his records a Thomas Shockley born in 1755 in Pittsylvania Co., VA and died in 1843 at his son's home in White Co. TN. His wife's name was Hannah Dalton. (There seemed to be a lot of Shockley's and Dalton's in his records). Parents were Richard Shockley (born 1732) and Elizabeth Meredith (1753 or 1754).
