I am still looking for info on Jobe Shockey, my greatgrandfather. He died in Stockton Ks, around 1887.
I was told by a cousin that he may have run for city or state office but unsuccessfully. The story has it that he left his wife, Emily Jane, for a younger woman. I am curious about the circumstances of his death, naturual or otherwise. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
