I am looking for information on my family that came out of Lewistown, PA....My father and grandfather were both born there or very near. My grandfather was Clarence Alvin Shirk born on 5 Dec 1890 and my father was born on 21 Sep 1917. Unfortunately both men are gone now and are well missed. But I remember them both talking about this cousin, this Aunt and Uncle. But you all know how a kid is when talking family.... zzzzzzzzzz. Now I am paying the price. My side of the family was born and grew up in NJ, with stopovers in Ankara, Turkey and Stuttgart, Germany. Obviously my dad was in the Army and we three brothers were all born at Ft Monmouth, NJ, as a matter of fact in the same delivery room.... Any does anyone have information on the Pennsylvania side of the family? Would appreciate any an all assistance.
