I believe the family you're talking about is mine. I'd have to look up grandpa's real name because everyone called him Duck, but I believe it's Elbert. He married Marilyn hershey (unsure of correct spelling for last name) and had a son and four daughters. If you get in touch with the Pottawotamie County registrar you should be able to find them and trace back. Sorry if this isn't more helpful, but I'm new at this.

I have worked on my family tree,(SHEHI FAMILY TREE), and the results are on Ancestry.com. Probably the best way to access this information would be to search George Edward Shehi or George Washington Shehi and look for parents, siblings, children etc. to see if this would be a match for your family tree.

Does anyone have information on Harry D. Shehi family. He was married to my mother's first cousin, Eva Gladys Scott, b. 1906/07, Boone Co., AR. Harry D., Eva Gladys, and 2 yr. old daughter were living with his parents (William & Hattie M. Shehi) in 1930 in OK. I believe they had four children: Juanita L., Effie Elizabeth, Robert W. (Bobby), and Bert Richard Shehi. I have a picture of Effie Elizabeth Shehi taken probably in the 1950's in Bristow, OK and one of Gladys and the four children but no names or dates on back. I don't have much info. on Fred I'm sorry but, here is what I have for Dan in my family tree book Daniel S. Shehi listed as b.Sep 12, 1834; d.July 5, 1904 in Colorado. Married Emma Robinson Sep. 22, 1859. One adopted son: Fred, who married. Family lived in Pottawatomie Co. KS untill the spring of 1885, when they moved to Colorado.
