Granger, Tex., Oct. 17 - L. E. Sheffield died at his home in this city Tuesday night, following an illness of only three days. Mr. Sheffield was Mayor of Granger and Justice of the Peace of precinct No. 2. He was for years one of the most prominent citizens and attorneys in this part of the county. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church by Rev. B. B. Blaylock of Rockdale, after which the local Masonic Lodge took charge of the body for interment. He is survived by a widow and six daughters.
