I am looking for any information on a Dimple
Shasteen. If I am correct she was at one
time married to a Dalton Hill in Winchester
Tennessee. Dimple and Dalton would be my
birth grandparents and are the parents of my
father B.W. Hill. Need help in confirming
this information. Much thanks everyone.

This is for the gentleman who had a long genealogy list for Shasteens out of Yellow Bud, Ohio. I logged on a week or two ago and was thrilled to see all this info because my great-grandmother was Amy Mae Shasteen, who was born in Yellow Bud, Ohio. Her father was Robert Shasteen, although NOT the Robert that you had listed. I believe my Robert was that Robert's son. I have alot of information on that branch of the tree, if you are interested. I also know the cemetery where most of the family are buried in Ohio and can be of help there.

Have you looked in the social security death index? They have a Dimple listed: b.d:3/4/1898 d.d:6/23/1991 in Winchester,Tn. I'm surprised she is listed under this name, was she divorced? Must have taken back her maiden name. Good luck.

is a Dimple on the death index but I am not
positive that this is actually my grandmother.
I need to find someone in her family that can
confirm this. I do not know if she was divorced
or was married again. I am pretty sure that
this is my grandmother but I just need some
confirmation of that fact. Thank you again.

I am also a desendent of the Shasteens of Yellowbud. My great grandmother was Marietta "Mary"Shasteen she married Charles Bennett. Marys parents were Robert Shasteen and Nancy Murphy. I live in Yellowbud and know that there are many Shasteens buried in Springbank cemetery.
