Just trieing to explore my roots.....My grandpa was Jack Shanahan He lived in Nebraska Died in Omaha around 1988.
His moms name was Marcella. He (Jack) was married to Lucille Kucera from I wanna say cedar Bluff.....out by wahoo anyways....Anybody know of anything....I'm Jacks grandson, Steve Shanahan is my dad, all of omaha NE

Ok I got all the way to John J Shanahan who married Julia (Sullivan) on 9-29-1884. That is Jack Shanahan great grandfather...John J was born to Daniel and Margaret Shanahan on June 24, 1861 at Meeme Wisconsin...John J had 4 sisters Bridget, Mary, Katherine and Josephine. John had 3 brothers Martin, Malick, and DanI....I know John and Malick moved from wisc. to Saunders county NE where John farmed and owned 320 acres.....I'm looking to learn of Johns parents Daniel and Margaret. His Mother Was Marcella Kelly (Born 4 FEB 1897-7 JAN 1995)
Her Parents Were Martin Kelly and Katherine Alice Malloy.
His Father was James Emmett Shanahan. He Had two brothers
Harold Shanahan And Martin Kelly Shanahan. I have information on the Malloy side and some of the Shanahan and kelly side as well.

Well, it's years after your inquiry, but....
My wife here in Omaha is Maureen Shanahan Crouchley. Her Great Grandfather is Martin Shanahan, son of Daniel and Margaret. what I know is on my Crouchley family tree. I'm now gathering information on the Shanahans in Saunders County. Martin's brother Malick is the one who moved here from Wisconsin.
