My paternal 4th grand parents are George Shaffer(1764-1838) and Susanna Pifer (1763-1837)

My maternal 4th grand parents are Jonathan Shaffer(1788-1879) and Sara Gable (1794-1882)

There are many descendants listed in the family tree. I was trying to find a reference person other than Richard or Corrine, that is their grand parents, great grand parents, etc.

Some of the Shaffer family moved from PA and changed the name to Shafer. For example, Oscar Shaffer(1877-1968) who married Laura Swenson, died in Chicago. His children are listed but I have no birth,death, or marriage info.

What would be the best way to see if I am related?
