I have found a ship's registry/passenger list indicating Frederick immigrated with his brother, Sampson, 30 Sep 1880 on the Ohio arriving in Philadelphia, PA. The passenger list indicates they are from Germany but not true. Mary Ann and the children followed in 1881 on the SS Lord Gough. I believe both passenger lists are available on Ancestry.com.
My ancestor is Sampson, Frederick's brother. Unfortunately, he did not have the morals of Frederick; he never brought his family over from England and in fact married again and had 9 more children, my grandmother included.
I also recently came up with some court records on ancestry that indicate a Sampson was convicted of larceny and served time... also, Frederick, Benjamin, and Harriet. One was acquitted, the others served minimal sentences. Not sure if they were our relatives or not but sure adds interest to the old family tree. Try looking them up yourself and let me know what you think. I wish the ages of the offenders had been recorded.
