My grandparents Domenico (Domenick) and Maria Sferlazza (her maiden name was costanza) came from Palermo, Italy around 1905. They settled in NY (possibly Brooklyn). They had 8 children. 4 boys and 4 girls. Two of the girls became nuns.
Any information would be appreciated.

Hi Tony:Did I ever get back to you? I don't remember doing so and I don't remember getting notification of your response. Sorry! Was your family also from Lercara Friddi, when they were living in Italy OR had any of your family ever been from there -- maybe in earlier years like early 1900's?My grandparents came over in 1905 originally setted in NY & Brooklyn. My aunts & Uncles, stayed in NY but lived in different parts of the state when they were married. I lost contact with them when I was a very young child.Did you live in Long Island also, or have you always been in Florida?I've been trying for over two years to locate my Sferlazza relatives. Not receiving many responses to the surname though!Would be interested in knowing if there is any lineage here with us. Can I write to you at your e-mail address -- maybe we can exchange some first names and information to see if there is any connection.~Jody Ann

Hi Francesco:It's been awhile since we made contact with each other. When did your family leave LercaraFriddi and move to Caserta? My reseearch in Lercara Friddi, is from the mid-1800's to the early 1900's. Do you have ANY research for these SAME YEARS, when your family WAS living in Lercara Friddi? Please let me know and if so, I can write to you directly again at your e-mail address.Maybe there is a family connection here. Also, do you have any Sferlazza relatives that came to the USA? ~Jody Ann
