Send me an email with your address and I'll send you a copy of the will and some of the family lines on which we are working.

We believe John Martin Sesler was born in Frederick County, Maryland around 1768. He then moved to Fayette County, PA and then on to Greene County, Ohio about 1830. Evidently, his daughter Elizabeth was disabled and never married but had one son, Joseph Thomas, whom Martin likely raised as one of his own.

His possible brother, Thomas Sessler, moved to Virginia from Maryland in the late 1700s to Botetourt, County and then parts of his family moved on to Tennessee, Ohio and Nebraska while some stayed in Virginia. We also think he moved to Ohio (Fayette County) around 1815 with some of his kids, from one of whom my ggrandfather, Alanson Sesler, seems to be descended. John Martin and kin show up in the same area just after (Greene and Fayette are next door).

Some others and I am trying to sort out all these Seslers and trying to tie down or disprove the John Martin/Thomas connection. We would love to get your information for Martin's descendents to add, and anything else you can add.
