Julia Seguin married Louis Joseph Ducat on September 6, 1874. I am having a real problem finding her family. Listed on her death certificate is father: Peter. There is no Peter Seguin in the area.
There is one in New York but his daughter Julia married someone else and lived in another state. This is the Julia Seguin who is to have been in 1880 census in Ausable New York but born in Illinois. But no one in the whole family besides her were born in Illinois.
Then there is a Julia who lives in Bourbonnais Kankakee County Illinois. She is born in 1850 in the 1860 census, she is born in 1854 in the 1870 census. But she was born in 1858 according to her death certificate. Now I know that those dates and ages are only as good as the person who is supplying the info at the time. But this girl in the census her father is Francis or Francese, not Peter. I am thinking that this is most likely my Julia and that her father has Peter in his name but went by the name of Francis. Or the person who gave the info for the death certificate didn't know the right name of her father, any more than they knew her mother's name.
Any suggestions?
