Thanks for the possibilities. The census records 1800-1840 are so stetchy that all we have are possible scenarios. My situation is that there was a second marriage. Mary Barnes md ?? Senate and had 3 kids, then md a John Fulton and had 4 more. The surnames were were interchangeable back then. Since they were devout Catholics,I can assume Senate died. BTW, yes the spelling is another variable. I have seen it Sennett, Sinnott, & a few others.

I have no record that any of them were born or lived anywhere but Pennsylvania and since 1850 they lived in Philadelphia.

So I will continue to look and search and be frustrated just like the rest of all the ancestry addicts..lol
