I have a history of the Selinger's (Seelinger - orginally spelled) from 1600 to today along my direct ancestery. Originally from Germany - emigrated to the German Colonies just north of Odessa in the middle and late 1800's and then they emigrated to the USA and Canada in the early 1900's.

You might want to investigate the German Colonies in South Russia where most of the Selinger's came from. There were 5 German colonies of which the major one with Seelinger's (Selinger) was the Rastadt Colony.
