I am researching Andrew Seibert,born about 1826 or 1828 in PA(county unknown), parents were Prussian, spouse was Clarissa (Paton) Patton, born about 1827 in Pittsburgh,Alleghney county,PA. The problem is I have found Andrew with Clarissa and children in the census years, 1880,1870 and 1860 but not in 1850. However, I did find Clarissa in an 1850 census, still single and living with her parents in PA. I know that Andrew and Clarissa had their first child in 1854 in Pittsburgh,Alleghney county,PA, but also have been unable to locate any marriage or birth information for Andrew. In later years, his sons put Andrew's birthplace as Germany not PA. I would like to find out the names of Andrew's parents. Any Idea why I'm unable to find him in the 1850 census?
