Joe: My name is Ray Fleck, Jr. (Our Ancestry account is in my wife's name).
According to my records, Heinrich Sehi (b. 1791) married Maria Anna Rink and they had 13 children.. Their first child was Barbara Sehi (b. 1814); she did not immigrate to America. Their 4th child, Margaretha, was born in 1817.
Heinrich had two older brothers, George Jacob (b. 1786) and Michael (b. 1784). Michael was my great-great-grandfather and he married Eva Bold. They had eleven children, of whom I know of three who came to America – Johann Adam (b. 1821), Barbara (b. 1823), and Margaretha (b. 1829). This 1823 Barbara was my great-grandmother. She and her younger sister Margaretha arrived in New York aboard the Ange Gardien ship in 1847. Their older brother John Adam Sehi preceded them to America and was in the butcher trade. John Adam and his sister Barbara lived out their lives in Brooklyn, NY. I do not know what happened to their sister Margaretha.
Barbara Sehi married Anton Herrlein at Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn around 1855. They visited the Old Country in 1870-71, taking two of their young children (Anton, Jr. and Pauline) with them. Their daughter Barbara Herrlein married George Fleck, Jr. in Brooklyn in 1878, and my father (Raymond Fleck, born there in 1901) was the youngest of their five children.
